Dr. Matthew Greene is an Optometrist in College Station providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities for over 20 years. He is a proud member of the “fighting” Aggie class of 1994 and a Licensed Optometrist from the University of Houston. Dr. Greene opened Urban Optics in 2012 to provide individually unique exams for every customer. He is certified by the board of Optometry to diagnose and medically treat eye health issues such as glaucoma, dry eye, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension. He pays great attention to detail with patients and takes pride in continuing his relationship personally and professionally. In addition to his study in optometry Dr. Greene is trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology to ensure he provides the best quality exams. Dr. Greene works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of his dedication to continuing education and high end technology that our College Station patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.
Dr. Christos McClain grew up on the west coast in Los Angeles, California. He received his B.S. in Allied Health at Texas A&M University and is a proud member of the Fightin’ Aggie Class of 2014! After completing his undergraduate degree he went back home for school at Southern California College of Optometry where he received his Doctorate of Optometry degree. Dr. McClain worked with several specialty clinics and trained in ocular disease, pediatrics, binocular vision, and glaucoma. He found a passion for both corneal and retinal disease and is certified by the FDA to fit Corneal Reshaping Therapy contact lenses. His goal in Optometry is to provide every patient. It is through his extensive training that he displays such quality care to patients and provides top of the line examinations for all.
Dr. Carl Ross was raised in northwest Iowa. He did part of his undergraduate work at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He finished his B.S. At the University of Houston, College of Optometry as well as his Doctor of Optometry degree. After graduation, Dr. Ross entered the service in the U.S Army as a Captain, performing eye examinations at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia. In a hospital setting, he was Chief of Optometry and served two years of active duty.
He entered private practice in Houston, owning two offices in Houston and Stafford and one in Madisonville. Upon selling those, he was managing optometrist in a practice in The Woodlands retiring in 2016. Dr. Ross is now seeing patients at Urban Optics and appreciates the office setting, office staff, and patient base. He is a Life Member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association and an Emeritus Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. He and his wife enjoy the outdoors, travel and especially their grandchildren.
