Meet College Station Optometrist, Dr. Matthew Greene
Dr. Greene is an Optometrist in College Station providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities.
As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Greene provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Greene is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Greene is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension.
Dr. Greene works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Greene's dedication to continuing education that our College Station patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.
Dr. Carl Ross was raised in northwest Iowa. He did part of his undergraduate work at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He finished his B.S. At the University of Houston, College of Optometry as well as his Doctor of Optometry degree. After graduation, Dr. Ross entered the service in the U.S Army as a Captain, performing eye examinations at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia. In a hospital setting, he was Chief of Optometry and served two years active duty.
He entered private practice in Houston, owning two offices in Houston and Stafford and one in Madisonville. Upon selling those, he was managing optometrist in a practice in The Woodlands retiring in 2016. Dr. Ross is now seeing patients at Urban Optics and appreciates the office setting, office staff and patient base. He is a Life Member of the American Optometric Association,the Texas Optometric Association and an Emeritus Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. He and his wife enjoy the outdoors, travel and especially their grandchildren.
